It’s time to put up the mistletoe and hang the holly. If you need some decorating inspiration or just love to tour beautifully-decorated homes, then join others at the 21st Annual GFWC Brandon Service League Holiday Home Tour on Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
All three homes on this year’s tour are new to the tour. There is one house in River Hills on the golf course, one in Copper Ridge and another off of Durant Rd. “This is our 21st year for our Holiday Home Tour. It is our largest fundraiser of the year. All money received from ticket sales is donated right back to many worthwhile non-profits located in the greater Brandon area,” explained Diane Burnett, Chair of the Holiday Home Tour.
As always, the tour will include refreshments and a bake sale. New this year will be “Ghosts of Christmas Past” where gently used Christmas items/decorations/gifts will be on sale.
Tickets to the Holiday Home Tour are $20 and are available on first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets can be purchased at the Green Boutique, 1031 E. Bloomingdale Ave. in Valrico; The Law Offices of B. Lee Elam, 101 E. Lumsden Rd. in Brandon; The Loft Hair Lounge, 709 W. Lumsden Rd. in Brandon; and Greg’s Hallmark, 863 E. Bloomingdale Ave. in Valrico
On Friday, December 6 the Brandon Service League will kick off the Holiday Home Tour with a Gala beginning at 6 p.m. The Gala will take place at The Loft Event Lounge located at 711 W. Lumsden Rd. in Brandon. Tickets to this special event are $35 per person and include dinner and an evening tour of the three homes. Attendees will also be able to partake in a silent auction and bid on opportunity baskets. The deadline to purchase tickets to the Gala is November 20.
The Brandon Service League is a proud member of the GFWC (Greater Federation of Women’s Clubs) and has served the Brandon area for more than 50 years. The Brandon Service League was named Non-Profit of the Year for 2013.
