The Fine Art Show will run from Thursday, February 26 to Sunday, March 8 and will be held in the Milton E. Hull Building, which is centrally located on the Strawberry Festival Fairgrounds.

Debra Bryant, chairperson for the Fine Art Show, is excited about this year’s show.

“The Florida Strawberry Festival Fine Art Show is open to all Florida residents and winter visitors. We have 10 Adult Divisions and four Youth Divisions (up to age 17 on day of entry). The festival is visited by nearly half a million people annually, many of whom visit the Fine Art Show. If you have ever wanted to have your artwork seen by a large group of people, this is the show for you.”

This year’s show will be a grand event with over $4,000 available in prizes. While this is not a juried Art_IMG_1091Ashow, there is limited space. Early entries are being accepted through Saturday, February 6 via U.S. Mail. Artists can mail the appropriate form along with fees to EHAG, P.O. Box 3055, Plant City, FL 33564.  Entry day is Friday, February 20 from 12 Noon-6 p.m.

For anyone who has entered the show in the past, it is crucial to carefully review the rules, which can be found at www.ehagfinearts.com, as rules regarding dimensions have been changed.

There are 10 Adult Divisions including four Professional Divisions. There are four Youth Divisions. Only original art is accepted. For purposes of the show, a professional is defined as someone who produces art on an advanced level as a result of training or experience or one who teaches classes or who relies on art related revenue as a substantial source of income.

“We are excited that we will have an exclusive sponsorship from Jim Scott of Jarrett-Scott Ford in Plant City, who is donating all cash awards for our entire Youth Division winners,” Bryant said. “We are very excited to be able to offer this extra incentive to our young artists.”
