At Canine Cabana, the quality of care the team provides to its customers, both two-legged and four-legged is always a top priority. As the business celebrates seven years of serving Riverview, FishHawk and the surrounding communities, co-owner Angie Frazier explained, “We have worked diligently to build an amazing team of caring and educated animal lovers that want nothing more than to treat each guest at Canine Cabana as if they are their own dog.”
Canine Cabana, owned by Frazier and Kendall Duncan, specializes in dog daycare, boarding and training.
“Canine Cabana is the safest, healthiest and most fun facility in the area,” said Frazier. “We provide full activities by our caring team every day of the year, including weekends and holidays. Our level of supervision and the behavior knowledge of our team ensures the most fun and safest activities in the area.”
Frazier stresses the importance of education and said at Canine Cabana that includes weekly team meetings that are focused on fun and centered on improving the team’s knowledge about animal care and behavior.
“We also know that one of our responsibilities as animal professionals is to educate pet parents about their dogs,” she said. “We offer training and behavioral consultations that allow us the opportunity to discuss with our pet parents the overall health and well-being of their dog.”
“We have an amazing team of 18 animal care professionals,” Frazier said. “We recognize that each dog is an individual and we cater to every pet parent’s requests for their dog’s needs.”
Daycare and lodging playtimes can be done in a group or individually and both are fully supervised for fun, positive interactions. Bubbles, pools and hula hoops are just some of the activities for the dogs. Also, dogs learn manners while participating in short training sessions during every interaction with our team.
“Our Bed Time Story with Tuck-In service is our most popular service and gets the best reviews from our guests,” said Frazier. Each pet parent that chooses this service for their dog gets their beloved pooch a one-on-one interaction complete with a rub down and personalized story at the end of every evening. “It’s a great ending to a perfect day,” she added.
Birthday parties have become a regular and popular occurrence at The Cabana. Birthday parties are complete with personalized invitations, cake, balloons, party hats and photographer. Pet parents even bring gifts from their dog for the birthday dog.
There also are monthly themed events that raise money for local charities such as CARE Animal Shelter in Ruskin. In May, during Spirit Week, each day has a different theme and pet owners are encouraged to dress their pooch up for Superhero Tuesday or Game Day Friday and others.
