A Riverview area man recently partnered up with a Los Angeles based company to release a new men’s fashion line that is both stylish and affordable. John Stephen of Singer+Sargent created the new line with his L.A. partners which was released in September.

Stephen said the vision came to him about five years ago when he was a buyer at Nordstrom’s. When he left the company three years ago, he realized it was the perfect opportunity to do something he wanted. “I saw a void in the marketplace,” he said. “This is a classic men’s wear line with a modern twist to it.”

Stephen grew up in the Lakeland area and began his fashion career at Belk’s. He then went to Dillard’s and eventually opened up his own bridal store before starting his career at Nordstrom’s in Tampa at the International Mall. He studied at the International Academy of Design but left his studies as he progressed through the ranks at Nordstrom.

Now he has taken his talent and experience to partner and launch the Singer+Sargent men’s line which is available at the Tampa Nordstrom’s location as well as other locations across the country. Stephen splits his time between the Tampa area and Los Angeles where the company is based.

Singer+Sargent boasts its stylish, functional and classic clothing line as being affordable while remaining high quality. “We own our own factory and all designs are done in house,” Stephen said. “We rival any other major brand out there but we pass the savings to the customer.”

The clothing line is aimed to be comfortable and stylish, easily going from day to night, and workday to weekend. It matches high quality and attention to detail with affordable pricing. Singer+Sargent believes there is no such thing as overdressing.

The Fall line is now available in Nordstrom at International Mall located at 2223 N. Westshore Blvd. in Tampa as well as men’s specialty stores across the country. For more information on Singer+Sargent’s vision and how to find it in stores, visit SingerandSargent.com.
