The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 23rd Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, February 25 at Summerfield Crossings Golf Club located at 13050 Summerfield Blvd. in Riverview. Registration, lunch and midway will begin at 10:30 a.m. A shotgun start begins at 12:30 p.m. A sumptuous dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m.

Between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., you can visit with chamber vendors along the midway. This is open to the public for no charge. You will not want to miss the Bryan Hindman Electric Ball Drop at 12 p.m. This is always a fun activity for all who attend.

To play, individuals are just $87 and foursomes are just $367, if paid before February 8. After that date, individuals are $97 and foursomes are $417. The chamber needs sponsors. You can get involved for as low as $60 for a green sign.

Funds raised from the golf tournament help support the chamber’s community projects and operating expenses. Tonya Doran, Executive a Director of the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce said, “Everyone should sign up or sponsor the golf tournament simply to have fun as this is one of our core values here at the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce.” Doran added, “We serve to create a family environment that ensures the success of our community, our businesses and our members. Our core values are leadership, teamwork, diversity, integrity and fun.”

This tournament promises to be a lot of fun. There w I’ll be lots of prizes, raffle items and a live auction during dinner. Items that will be available during the tournament include a sunset cruise with Captain Oliver O’Riordan, owner of Tampa Fishing Charters which is located out of Little Harbor Resort in Ruskin. This is valued at $250. In addition, there will be items such as a “high end” toilet valued at $670, donated by Olin Plumbing.
