Dove Interiors is family-owned and operated by Joan Miller and daughter Kim Scott. After spending 20 years working at a car dealership, Miller decided it was time to start her own business, so along with her family, it was decided to open a family carpeting business. Now, 28 years later, the business thrives at its current location; 2305 College Ave. in Ruskin, where it has been located for the last 10 years.

Shortly after opening, the tile department was added followed by window treatments, which opened with Hunter Douglas products. When Dove Interiors moved to its current location, it became the only Hunter Douglas Gallery in Hillsborough County.

Through the years Dove Interior has grown, now offering all types of flooring, window treatments, draperies, custom fabric, and bed spreads. Miller’s motto is “Beautiful made affordable”.

Later this spring, a new cabinet and vanity department is set to open. Working with four different cabinet companies, customers will have many cabinets to choose from in all price ranges. Vignettes for the cabinets are currently being set up and orders for cabinets are already being placed.

Dove Interiors is part of Carpet One Floor & Home, which is a cooperative of over 1,000 stores worldwide.

According to Miller, “We are the biggest purchaser of flooring in the United States.” It is because of that we can offer great warranties on all carpet products. There are five levels of warranties. If you decide you don’t like something that you purchased, you have up to four months to have it changed.

Dove Interiors currently has 12 people on staff. Employees are trained in all of the departments to help with any questions or needs that may arise. The staff is knowledgeable in the flooring and home interior industry, and they are genuinely willing to share their expertise with you from inspiration to installation. Sales professionals are trained to ask the right questions, guide you through its easy-to-understand selection systems, and work with you to create exciting solutions.
