Rivercrest Home to Free Water Safety Program

Riverview’s Rivercrest community is hosting free children’s swimming lessons for one week this summer, thanks to the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County Mobile Water Safety Team and the Brandon Sports and Aquatics Club (BSAC).

The lessons will be provided by BSAC from June 5-9 in the Rivercrest Family Pool for children 3-14 years old and classes will cover basic swim lessons and water safety. There is a limit of 12 children per class and registration is on a first come, first served basis.

Rivercrest Offers Scholarship to High School Seniors

High School seniors graduating in May with a GPA of 3.0 of higher are invited to apply for one of two $1,000 from the Rivercrest CDD. The district is hosting the scholarship competition for students whose parent or legal guardian is an owner and resident in the district. Applicants must also be accepted to an accredited four-year college or university to apply.

To receive an application, contact management at the CDD Community Center office, located t 11560 Ramble Creek Dr., after April 1. Deadline for applications is Friday, June 13 at 5 p.m. and the winners will be announced at the July 17 board of supervisors meeting.
