Riverview Easter Egg Hunt & Festival

Kerin Realty, Heather Michael @ Salon Jennifer & Co, Tax Happens & The Summerfield Crossing Golf Club presents the first annual Riverview Easter Egg Hunt & Festival on Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

There will be music, food, and drinks. Spring photos will be available from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. for $5. Enjoy visits with the Easter Bunny. There will be vendors and three zones for Easter Egg Hunting.

Zone 1 – 5 years and younger; Zone 2 – ages 6 12 years old; and zone 3 – Adults Zone – bringing back your childhood with a twist.  Each adult has 15 Seconds to get one egg.  There will be candy and prizes.

The Hunt and Festival will take place at Summerfield Crossings Golf Club, 13050 Summerfield Blvd.

Food Pantry Volunteers Hold Food Drive

Saint Anne Catholic Church Food Pantry partners with Feeding Tampa Bay, USDA, Publix and Winn-Dixie supermarkets and Saint Anne Parishioners to assist an average of 400 families each week as well as the homeless in the South Shore Area. The food pantry is open every Wednesday from 9 a.m.-12 Noon. This institution is an equal opportunity provider. All in need are welcome.

Food Pantry volunteers held a food drive at Publix Supermarket in Apollo Beach in February where 5,000 pounds of food and $800 in charitable donations were collected to help stock the food pantry shelves.

Women’s Luncheon – Women And Leadership

Author and Therapist Dr. Reba Haley will host a Women’s Luncheon on Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Covenant Family Church, 6321 US Hwy. 301 S. in Riverview.
Katie McGill, Executive Director for Dress for Success, will the guest speaker at the luncheon. The event is free, but it is requested that you please bring suits and shoes to donate to Dress for Success, which provides business attire clothes for women seeking employment and going on job interviews.

Saint Anne Catholic Church Hosted Lourdes Virtual Pilgrimage

Saint Anne Parish hosted a Virtual Pilgrimage with the North American Lourdes Volunteers in February. The event included a guided Lourdes experience, during which participants immersed in the Gospel message of Lourdes given by Our Lady to St. Bernadette, had the opportunity to touch Grotto Rock and experience the healing grace of Lourdes Water, and received a Plenary Indulgence granted by Papal Decree.

Seventh Annual FishHawk Riverview Rotary Crawfish Festival

The Rotary Club of FishHawk-Riverview is pleased to announce the 7th annual Crawfish Festival will be held on Saturday, April 22, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Winthrop Pole Barn area in Winthrop on Bloomingdale Ave. in Riverview. All of the money raised is donated to local charities and scholarship funds. There will be live music and plenty of food, drinks, and activities for the children available for purchase.

For reserved crawfish meal tickets, please purchase tickets before the April 2nd cutoff for $25. Reservations will guarantee a Crawfish Meal to be available the day of event. This will include about 2-3 lbs. of crawfish with the fixings (corn and potatoes). Other food items and beverages will be available for purchase at the event, to include Cajun food, hamburgers and hotdogs. Free hotdogs will be given away to children that bring nonperishable food donations.
