Cutting Edge Language Emersion Preschool Opening In August

A new kind of private preschool, for ages six weeks to 5 years old, is opening in FishHawk in August, right in time for the new academic school year. The Language Immersion program at Children’s Academy is a private Spanish immersion preschool and child care center founded by Baldwin and Debra Sterling.
“We are extremely proud to be the first preschool in our community to offer our youngest students a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to effortlessly master a second language”. Studies show children exposed to multiple languages during their “window of opportunity” to learn a new language, between birth and age ten, many times end up surpassing monolinguals in math and English.

Children’s Academy Language Immersion will host open house events on Thursday, June 15 and Friday, July 18 from 4-7 p.m. to give parents an opportunity to see the facility, inquire about this approach to learning and comprehensive, research based curriculum. There will be fun activities for children and light refreshments provided.

The Sterling’s also own and operate Children’s Academy Brandon over the past decade, were not born of Spanish heritage, but have always desired to give their children the opportunity to become bilingual or multilingual speakers.

Before and after care for children before and aftercare for children in grades K-5 will also be provided. Children’s Academy Language Immersion is located in Lithia at the corner of Browning Rd. and Lithia Pinecrest Rd.  Visit www.childrensacademyfishhawk.com.
