Apprenticeship opportunities took center stage in Riverview! 🏗️⚡

Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) recently hosted its first-ever Apprenticeship Night at Riverview High School. This landmark event brought together middle and high school students for a first-hand look at high-demand, skilled trade careers.

What happened at the event?

Industry Connections: Students met directly with professionals from across the Tampa Bay area.

Hands-on Experience: From masonry and welding to electrical work and lineworker programs (shoutout to TECO!), students saw what these careers look like in action.

Career Pathways: The event highlighted direct paths into the workforce that offer real-world experience and competitive pay without the traditional college route.

Families also had the chance to explore post-secondary options and see how the future of work is being built right here in our community.
