Public Information Meeting Dec. 3 to Highlight Bloomingdale Avenue and Culbreath Road Intersection Improvements in Valrico

Hillsborough County, Fla. (Nov. 9, 2015) – Residents in Valrico can learn about an upcoming project to improve traffic flow for the Bloomingdale Avenue and Culbreath Road intersection during a public information meeting on Thursday, Dec. 3. Hillsborough County Public Works is planning an eastbound right-turn lane and additional westbound and northbound left-turn lanes at the intersection, upgraded traffic signalization, ADA sidewalk improvements near the intersection, and 4-foot-wide bike lanes on both sides of Bloomingdale Avenue. Additionally, bus bays will be constructed on both sides of Culbreath Avenue, just south of the YMCA.

The meeting will have an open house format and attendees can review and comment on the construction plans with Public Works representatives.

The purpose of this meeting is to present details of the $1.4 million Capital Improvement project and provide construction information to area residents. Work is expected to begin in January 2016 and should be completed in mid-2016.
