The South Shore Music Festival is sure to be a one-of-a-kind event, so mark your calendars for Saturday, November 20, and head to East Bay Raceway, located at 6311 Burts Rd.
Gates open at 10 a.m. and, in addition to all of the great local musical acts, there will be activities for the whole family. Bring your lawn chairs for a full day of fun and night of racing.
Performers include Zebron & James, Soul Circus Cowboys, Will Erickson & Local Roots, Rockestra, The Top Shelf Blues Band and others. A special treat will be the performances by all of the winners of Riverview Idol from the past four years.
A Kidz Zone, inflatable rides and games will keep the children entertained and there will be raffles, food, a 50/50 raffle and more.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Hand To Hope, a local charitable organization dedicated to helping those who care for others, specifically family members who suddenly find themselves as caregivers.
Mike Self, owner of S & S Tacos/Pizzas and Stuff and Riverview honorary mayor candidate, hopes to turn this into an annual event and said, “This is a great partnership with East Bay and a way to offer the community something different.”
He added that it is a whole day of entertainment and whole night of racing, all to benefit the community we live in.
Sponsors include but are not limited to Bud Light, Kids Community College, Sweetbay, East Bay Raceway, Music Showcase, Sam Cook’s Home Service Center and James Pulkowski, CPA.
