Staff Report

NHTLogoFans can be entertained by and developing performers can learn from a weekly podcast that Now Hear This recently launched.

The first three shows, all now available on iTunes, include high-profile guests. The debut edition features Alabama-based Shawna P., who appeared last year on The Voice. The second show is a conversation with Nashville-based singer/songwriter Alyssa Jacey, who just a few years ago opened for Bruno Mars and who was nominated for “Best Live Country Performer” in the 2013 Nashville Independent Music Awards. The third guest is Tampa-based singer, Shannon Magrane, who finished eleventh on American Idol in 2012.

Free to download from iTunes and hosted by company president, Bruce Wawrzyniak, the podcast is called Now Hear This Entertainment. The guest each week is an entertainer who has achieved success in the business. The story of how they got there and where they’re heading is inspiration for listeners who are fans of that artist (or just fans of good music interviews in general). Additionally, the content aims to help singers, songwriters, performers and the like improve their efforts at reaching their goals.

Now Hear This Entertainment also features a “Bruce’s Bonus” segment where a tip is given out to the performers who are listening, relative to helping what they’re doing in their music career.

“I’m extremely excited about this,” Wawrzyniak said. “Now Hear This Entertainment is something that will entertain and educate, plus it’s a great promotional vehicle for the guest.”

In the case of the latter, Wawrzyniak pointed out that the guest’s original music is played at the beginning and the end of the podcast instead of just a show theme song week after week.

Being recorded at Crystal Blue Sound Studios in Brandon, the podcast will be made available on a weekly basis, with the cycle of a new show getting posted every Wednesday.

Wawrzyniak said that future guests will continue to span different genres and that there will be an occasional guest who comes from a music business perspective, but has been a performer themselves.  He didn’t rule out the possibility of some surprise names as well.

A podcast page has been added to the company’s Website, www.now-hear-this.net and updates regarding Now Hear This Entertainment guests will be posted on Facebook and Twitter.
