On the second Sunday of each month, the parking lot of the White Rabbit Antiques and Collectibles (White Rabbit) is transformed into an outdoor market full of vendors and crafters offering all kinds of vintage and handcrafted items. The markets continue into April, May and June. There is no market during the summer. The markets resume in the fall.

The next market is on Saturday, March 8. Laura Hovan, owner of the White Rabbit said, “The March market is the big spring kick-off.” The March market will be complete with food, face painting, a local bee keeper (who brings his bee hive and honey for purchase), repurposed furniture, jewelry and more. You can also shop inside the White Rabbit and at Cinderella’s next door.

Hovan said, “We have been doing this for four years and people just love it.” Paula Pollice of Dover said, “The outdoor events are super.” Pollice added, “The White Rabbit is my happy place. Coming here makes you feel warm and gives you a connection to the past.”

Hovan has been a resident of the area for a long time and is very community oriented. She recently had students from Mulrennan Middle School’s Junior National Honor Society to wrap presents at the December market as a fundraiser. She would like to hear from other student organizations who are interested in having a fundraiser.

In addition, Hovan would like to invite any local vendors and crafters who have a home based business to get involved in the monthly Outdoor Markets. “We have a lot of crafty people right here in Brandon and I want to help highlight their business,” said Hovan. If you are interested, contact Hovan at 651-2950.

The White Rabbit is located at 207 S. Parsons Ave. in Brandon. To keep up on all the events and to see what new vintage items they have, follow the White Rabbit Antiques and Collectibles on Facebook.
