FloridaAeseticsWith people living longer and others becoming overweight, there is an increased push to improve the quality of life. Brandon Weight Loss heard the demand, and Florida Aesthetics and Medical Weight Loss was born in September of 2013.

Florida Aesthetics and Medical Weight Loss, formerly known as Brandon Weight Loss, started as a neurology private practice center. The two board-certified neurologists increasingly noticed patients whose conditions could improve with physician supervised weight loss.

“The growth and success of the program influenced our decision to offer a variety of other aesthetic services,” said Managing Director Abida Saleh.

Medical weight loss injections, anti-aging injectables and skincare products are just some of the services provided. The business also offers complimentary consultations and often runs specials. Prices range from as low as $25 for a B12/MIC shot to aid in weight loss, up to a couple hundred dollars for other anti-aging and laser treatments.

Currently there are eight employees, including another recently added board-certified physician and a licensed medical aesthetician. Saleh is confident the business will continue to expand, and it is excited to create more local jobs.

At first, Saleh and her staff were located behind Brandon Regional Hospital, but parking soon became a problem as business flourished. Florida Aesthetics and Medical Weight Loss is now located at 1771 S. Kings Ave. in Brandon. This modernized, standalone facility is much larger and allows for a more relaxed and comfortable setting that would be expected at any medical spa.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. with extended hours on Wednesdays, staying open until 7 p.m. This business stands out against the competition.

“Our main differentiation is the fact that we are a medical practice and all our services are offered as medical grade treatments. It is a place where the highest standards of medical care and safety are met,” said Saleh.
