BC_ACTAnimal Coalition of Tampa Begins Cleanup After Arson Fire

On Saturday, April 28 a fire at Animal Coalition took the lives of three beloved cats consuming at least 70 percent of the building. ACT has found a short term facility to serve its customers while the Gilchrist location is being rebuilt. On Friday, May 9 the Shot Clinic reopened at its temporary location at 1719 W. Lemon St. in Tampa. Shot hours are 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. Monday – Friday and no appointment is necessary. ACT is currently accepting donations at www.phoenixfund.actampa.org to help rebuild its facility and replace equipment lost in the fire. The organization provides affordable animal health services and pet medications, and is an active participant in Hillsborough County’s voucher program for income-qualified families.
