Westfield Brandon Hosts 12th Annual Brandon Blast on 4th of July

Westfield Brandon is hosting its 12th annual Brandon Blast where guests are invited to celebrate Independence Day. Brandon Blast will feature live music, food, family fun and fireworks at dusk, plus a chance to win a Westfield shopping spree. A majority of the events, such as The Mr. Tommy Show, character meet and greets and face painting will be held inside the mall near the Food Court. Guests are welcome to dine at the outdoor Restaurant Courtyard while enjoying live music from 6-9 p.m.                   Brandon Blast is in partnership with QYK 99.5 and Tampa Bay Moms Group and is located at Westfield Brandon Mall at 459 Brandon Town Center Mall in Brandon. Econo Car Rentals Supports Autism Speaks BC_econoRentalFoundation

About 500 people visited a car show organized by a local car rental company. This year visitors were entertained by various car clubs, burnout competition, a Judo demonstration by Gracie Tampa Judo, music from The GFM band and local vendors. Econo Car Rentals joined forces with Street Assassins car club to fundraise money for Autism Speaks foundation and asked car owners and vendors to donate money. In a few hours it raised $500 for the Autism Speaks Foundation. Econo Car Rentals management was very happy after event and company is looking forward to throw another car show in the near future. Leadership Hillsborough Accepting Applications for the 2016 Class

Leadership Hillsborough provides development opportunities to Hillsborough County professionals who seek to expand their knowledge of the dynamics, issues, challenges and opportunities that impact their work and Hillsborough County. Applications to participate in the 2016 Class are being accepted through Friday, July 31. Leadership Hillsborough is a unique program that brings together a broad diversity of professionals, who may not otherwise meet, to form better understanding of their roles as community leaders, to build long-lasting relationships, and create an influential network and collaborative opportunities. The 10-month long program runs September through June. It requires a commitment of at least one full day per month with an overnight opening retreat, and a mid-year retreat.
