Dove Interiors Carpet One in Ruskin has been serving customers in the South Shore area and beyond for 26 years, a milestone very few businesses can claim. Family-owned and operated by Joan Miller and her daughter, Kimberly Scott, Dove Interiors offers a huge selection of carpet, hardwood, vinyl, tile, window treatments and more. With 1,000 stores worldwide, Dove Interiors has partners in all of the major brands and manufacturers.
Miller explained that the role of the staff at Dove Interiors is much more than offering home décor. “We care,” she said, explaining that the staff at Dove Interiors work as project managers for every job.
“A manager is at every home at the beginning of every project. If the job takes several days we make it a point to stop by again to check on the progress,” she said. “Not to mention, we have warranties on our products that are unbelievable. Did you ever hear of anyone else telling you that you can live with your product for up to120 days and if you change your mind for any reason we will replace it free?”
Miller explained, “We work with great customers that become friends. We get to know them well by going into their homes, meeting their families, seeing pictures of their children and grandchildren and getting to know them on a more personal level.”
She added, “It has been a very rewarding 26 years and we look forward to many more.”
Part of Dove Interiors’ commitment to the community extends to charities both locally and nationally. The company is avidly involved in Building for America’s Bravest (www.ourbravest.org), which builds custom designed smart homes to help restore independence and improve the quality of life for the nation’s most catastrophically injured service members. Carpet One Retail Stores supply all the flooring covering labor to these veterans at no cost to them.
“We just finished installing 2,600 square feet of tile in a home in South Tampa,” said Miller.
The company also supports breast cancer research by selling designer indoor/outdoor floor mats with the breast cancer logo and as a local community effort, supports the Mary and Martha House for battered and abused women and children, and donating food to St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Dove Interiors Carpet One is located at 2305 College Ave. in Ruskin. It is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday.
