Few remember State Road 60 as a two lane highway, but the Plumb family who started Pearle Vision over three decades ago recalls the image well. Sara Plumb, now the second generation manager and optician, said her father started the business and built it from the ground up. Under her leadership, Pearle Vision continues its legacy of expert care with a neighborly attitude. Plumb, proudly born and raised in Brandon, knows the importance of being an active member of the community.

“Building relationships with people is how we separate ourselves from the competition. We still have customers from 32 years ago who come to us,” said Plumb. Customers at Pearle Vision come for the care and return for the service.

Pearle Vision partners with its eye doctors to offer routine eye-exams, visits for medical concerns, prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses, and contact lenses. Its doctors use state-of-the-art equipment including technology like Optomap, a digital retinal exam that allows for improved examination of the back of the eye so doctors can more easily diagnose and prevent various eye conditions and diseases. The staff is always sure to provide one-on-one personal attention so that every patient leaves seeing clearly and smiling.
