Teacher’s Helper, Inc. store has been providing teaching supplies along with excellent customer service for more than 30 years. The store opened in 1984, originally located on Margaret Street before relocating to Oakfield Drive in 2012.

Shearon Bailey, the current storeowner, bought the store back in 2005 after stopping in for some stickers. She inquired about the help wanted sign in the window and then two months later the store was hers. Bailey was a teacher for 17 years before becoming a storeowner.

When asked about the difference between being a teacher and a storeowner, Bailey said, “I love owning the store because I had worked retail while teaching and had co-owned a consignment business in Tennessee. It is so satisfying to help a teacher or parent with students’ specific needs.”

The store sells many different kinds of teaching supplies, such as workbooks, puzzles, games, bulletin boards, poster boards, construction paper, along with many different types of office supplies. It also provides a lamination service at just $1 for every foot. In addition to that, it also offers a 17 X 15 classroom for rent located in the store. The rate for the classroom is $15 an hour with a price break at three hours.

Teacher’s Helper Store takes pride in customer satisfaction, making it their number one priority. They always go the extra mile to make sure that their customers have everything they want.
