Tickets include dinner, martinis (or another beverage of your choice) and all of the supplies needed to paint a fantastic canvas. This event usually sells out, so get your tickets now by calling Center Place at 685-8888.

Patty Sisco of the local favorite, Sketch and Sip, will lead this fun, adult night out which supports a great local arts organization, Center Place. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner before creating your masterpiece. In addition to dinner and painting, there will be a raffle to bid on that night.

Center Place’s Masterpieces and Martinis started in 2008 when Tammy Holmberg ran for Honorary Mayor of Brandon. According to Lisa Rodriguez, marketing director for Center Place, “The event was so well received that we decided to have it every year.” Money raised from the event directly benefits Center Place’s children’s programs and helps fund scholarships so that every child can have the opportunity to unleash their creativity.

Rodriguez said, “Center Place has been a pillar of our greater Brandon community for 40 years. We have brought the arts to the community by providing theatre, art classes, student scholarships, special events, summer camp workshops, monthly art exhibits and receptions. The arts play an important role in the development and fabric of our community.”

Center Place is continually updating and adding to its already busy slate of events and exhibits. In 2017, Center Place will host its first national contemporary art competition and exhibition called Square’s Off. Artists from all over the local area and beyond are encouraged to enter and as Rodriguez said, “Think outside the box and ‘Square Off’ against fellow artists from all over the nation.” This exciting art competition and exhibit will take place from Friday, January 20, 2017 through Tuesday, February 28, 2017. The deadline to enter is Thursday, September 15.
