In preparation for the approaching tropical storm, Apollo Beach area resident, Ted Lively, 69, picks up sandbags this morning (Tuesday, 8/30) at Hillsborough County’s South Service Unit sandbag site 8718 Old Big Bend Rd. in Gibsonton. The storm is expected to mostly impact the area on Thursday. Hillsborough County has extended the hours of operation at all three of its sandbag sites until 9 pm., from today through Thursday.
