Encore at FishHawk Ranch, David Weekley Homes’ first age-qualified, 55+ community has been recognized with a Grand Aurora Award from the Southeast Building Conference (SBC). Encore at FishHawk Ranch was the judges’ top choice in the category of Seniors Housing Community – Active Adult/Independent Living.

Encore at FishHawk Ranch is a new approach to lifestyle-driven home design specifically for buyers 55 years and older, and is the first age-qualified neighborhood within the award-winning FishHawk Ranch community, featuring single level homes with newly designed floor plans ranging from two to four bedrooms, up to three full baths and two to three car garages. There are also ample customization options to fit each homeowner’s personal tastes and desires. Encore residents enjoy exclusive use of The Oasis Club, the community’s 5,000 sq. ft. recreation center, which offers a resort-style pool, state of the art fitness center, business center and catering kitchen. A full-time lifestyle director is on staff to schedule a host of activities from cooking classes, wine tastings and game nights.

“We are thrilled to be recognized by the Southeast Building Conference,” said Pam Parisi, vice president, marketing for Newland Communities. “It has been exciting to partner with David Weekley Homes to bring this new 55 plus concept to the marketplace.”

“We’re very honored to have won a Grand Aurora Award by the Southeast Building Conference for our community, Encore at FishHawk Ranch,” said Nate Beauregard, division president for David Weekley Homes in Tampa. “We have greatly enjoyed our partnership with Newland Communities in FishHawk Ranch and are excited at how well our new 55 plus neighborhood has been received. These low-maintenance homes feature open, single-level layouts with great Encore-exclusive amenities at The Oasis, along with a lifestyle director, ultimately offering our Baby Boomer customers the exact lifestyle they’re looking for.”

The Aurora Awards encompasses all facets of the residential, commercial and remodeling industries and are presented annually to outstanding residential and commercial builders, planners, architects, developers, designers, interior merchandisers and other housing-related professionals in 12 states and the Eastern Caribbean. Award winners were announced in July, during the annual Southeast Building Conference held in Orlando. Visit bit.ly/2bM09GI.
