Renowned for its larger than life stage productions, the Bell Shoals Worship Ministry invites you to its annual Christmas production on Friday, December 8 at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, December 9 and Sunday, December 10 at 6 p.m.

The musical production of The Wonder of Jesus Through One Man’s Eyes presents the gospel story through the eyes of one man, Simon Peter. Playing the role of Simon Peter is the award-winning Christian actor and scriptwriter, Mac McConnell.

The show features Bell Shoals’ 175-person adult choir, a 35-piece orchestra and an 8-piece rhythm section. Also taking the stage are the Bell Shoals’ children and student choirs.

Special guest Dave Cleveland, who has toured with Steven Curtis Chapman, Twila Paris and the Brooklyn Tabernacle, joins the ensemble with his electric guitar.

One of the musical numbers includes the song, Heart Abandoned, written by Sean Curran, a former student of Bell Shoals and Kristian Stanfill, a prominent contemporary Christian artist.

Back by popular demand is the free app called Offline Lights. The app is not essential to the show but will enhance the viewer’s experience. To participate, download the app to your phone so that it will synchronize to the performance.

“We want to do something similar to last year,” said a spokesperson for Jason Millsaps, pastor of music and worship. “At the top of the service, we’re going to use a phone app that will add an audience participation component to the first song.”

An hour before the show, guests can enjoy pre-show concerts in the church’s welcome area from the following schools: Durant High School choir on Friday, December 8, Burns Middle School Chamber Strings on Saturday, December 9 and Bloomingdale High School on Sunday, December 10.

The approximate length of the performance is one hour and 40 minutes. The show is free, open to the public and suitable for all ages. If you would like to attend, you do not need tickets, but invitation tickets will be available for Bell Shoals members to give to guests.

Bell Shoals Baptist Church is located at 2102 Bell Shoals Rd in Brandon. For information, contact the church at 689-4229 or visit www.bellshoals.com/brandon or on social media BSBCWorship.
