Tide Dry Cleaners store manager Tyler Froehle prepares to dry clean a comforter at the newly opened Valrico location.

The days of racing across town to pick up your dry cleaning before the store closes are gone. Tide Dry Cleaners, located at 1928 E. Bloomingdale Ave. in Valrico, offers the convenience of 24-hour pick-up and drop-off with its trademarked ‘Anytime kiosk and drop-box.’

Owners Berry and Sharon Wright said some customers using the kiosk for the first time document the experience. “Some customers take out their phones and record the process as the kiosk selects and delivers their freshly cleaned clothes to them,” said Sharon. “It really is a neat thing to behold.”

FishHawk resident Frances Chavez didn’t document her first experience with the kiosk but did call her husband to tell him about it. “I told him this kiosk is so cool, like a dry-cleaning ATM,” joked Chavez, who said she signed up for the free express pick-up service because with her busy life she needed the convenience of 24-hour pickup.

Chavez signed up for the Inner Circle rewards program, which offers special perks like an individualized express bag allowing for 24/7 drop-off, hassle-free billing and money-saving discounts.

Not interested in using the kiosk? Not to worry, during store hours the covered drive-thru valet service allows customers the ability to stay in their cars while helpful staff quickly and efficiently process dry cleaning orders.

Convenience is not the only reason customers love Tide Dry Cleaners. Cleaning is done on the air-conditioned premises. Every item that is brought in goes through a seven-point inspection process to ensure nothing is missed. Garments are inspected for stains, damage and missing or broken buttons (which they replace free of charge if possible).

Tide Dry Cleaners uses a non-toxic dry-cleaning process that replaces petroleum-based chemicals with liquid silicone solvents that is gentler on clothes. Tide is used on garments that are laundered. Every garment gets an infusion of the familiar Tide scent for freshness but customers can request no scent. Tide products are sold in the store.

Tide Dry Cleaners is open Monday to Friday 7 a.m.–7 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m.–5 p.m. The store is open Sunday from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. for drop-offs and pick-ups only.

Need a garment cleaned in a hurry? Most orders dropped off before 9 a.m. on weekdays can be ready by 5 p.m. the same day. Orders dropped off by 9 a.m. on Saturdays can be ready by 3 p.m.
