Ken and Dan McKenna are the owners of Tampa Bay Pools. They were recognized by Pool and Spa News as one of the top 50 pool builders in the United States for a seventh straight year. They are currently celebrating their 10th anniversary.

After more than 20 years in our Bloomingdale home, my husband Phil and I decided it was time for a pool and lanai makeover. After shopping around, we decided to stay local and chose Tampa Bay Pools to re-do our lanai with pavers and also to retile and resurface the pool.

Specializing in both residential and commercial projects, Tampa Bay Pools is a one stop shop. We were able to sit down with them and customize the outdoor area to our specifications. They had plenty of samples to choose from.  We were shown videos of other pools so that we could have a visual of what some of the things we were looking to have done might actually look like.

Tampa Bay Pools specializes in building new in-ground pools and spas too. They will customize your new pool, so that it is unique to what you are looking for. They can customize it into any shape or form that you might want for that special look.

They are a local family business owned by brothers who are Valrico residents, Ken Jr. and Dan McKenna . Their dad, Ken Sr., is also involved in sales on a part time basis. Ken, Jr. is involved in the day to day operations, while Dan manages the sales and marketing for the company. They began the company in 2002 and are now celebrating their 10-year anniversary.

They have been recognized by Pool & Spa News as one of the top 50 pool builder in the U.S. for a seventh straight year.
They’ve also been invited to join the National Society of Swimming Pool Professionals. This exclusive group opens them to educational seminars and networking with other pool builders and to deal directly with vendors. This helps them keep prices very competitive. They are the #1 builder in Tampa for new pool construction.  Ken Jr. said, “We only have one office in Brandon with 10 employees. We are fortunate to reach that level due to our reputation and the referral base that we have.”

When you are ready to get more information or for that estimate on how much it might cost, there are no high pressure sales. Dan said, “Our job is to give you the info, go over the price. The way we do business is to earn your business and not pressure you into it.”

Office hours are from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Appointments are available nights and weekends. Call 699-5294 to meet with one of their designers to help you plan your outdoor area.
