The Tampa Bay Builders Association’s Annual Parade of Homes will held throughout Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco Counties from March 2 through March 17. Since 1957, the Tampa Bay Builders Association (TBBA) has been helping builders market their homes while providing an opportunity for consumers to see what is available in the Tampa Bay area.

This year’s Parade of Homes will be one of the best with 113 model homes spread across several counties. Each home in the Parade of Homes is fully furnished and available for viewing 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday and from noon until 6 p.m. on Sunday.

In addition, this is the first year in several years that a local builder is building a Showcase Home specifically for the Parade of Homes. David Weekley Homes is building a brand new model, the Maybeck. The home is located in the Newland community of Waterset located in Apollo Beach.

Pam Parisi with Newland Communities said, “Newland is thrilled to be hosting the 2013 Showcase Home in our new Waterset community. We work closely with our home builders to offer a variety of home plans and architectural styles, and David Weekley Homes has raised the bar with its new Maybeck model. From its modern architecture to the flexible floor plan, the Maybeck is a must see during the Spring Parade of Homes.”

“This year, 33 builders in 75 communities throughout several counties will display the latest new-home designs and housing trends,” said TBBA President, Joe Fontana of Ryland Homes.

Model homes will be judged by a panel of building-industry professionals from across Florida who will consider site plan, curb appeal, design, material, outdoor living spaces, architectural detailing and workmanship.

In the greater Brandon area, there are 52 homes in 21 communities including 10 homes in Waterset, three homes in MiraBay in Apollo Beach, two homes in Harbor Isles in Brandon, two homes in Parsons Woods in Brandon, 13 homes in FishHawk Ranch in Lithia, three homes in Panther Trace in Riverview and one home in Winthrop Village in Riverview.

The Parade of Homes is presented by the TBBA’s Sales and Marketing Council, which has a membership of more than 200 sales and marketing professionals. Through networking, speakers and a variety of educational programs for sales professionals, the Sales and Marketing Council promotes better and more efficient sales practices so consumers can enjoy a more positive and informed home-buying experience.
